Pecan Praline - A little bit of New Orleans

My husband and I love going to New Orleans! We love the variety of music and food that you can only find there. One of our favorite candies from New Orleans is the Pecan Praline. It is so rich and delicious. On one trip, we ended up buying a couple of cook books to take back home with us. One of them had the recipe for the original Pecan Pralines. I had to try to make this delicious candy myself and have been hooked ever since. So when I started my home bakery here in South Gulf Cove/Port Charlotte, I decided to make it one of my flavors offered in my cakes and cupcakes. I made some Pecan Pralines to go on top of the cakes and cupcakes as well as in the cake batter. So delicious and moist! So whenever I start missing New Orleans, I make up a batch of praline candy to tide me over.
